"MATEO" is an incredibly good-looking & unique looking Lab/Hound/Pointer mix boy whom we rescued from a high kill pound. Mateo is 45 to 50 lbs, and a young, just turned 1 yr old pooch. Mateo, super sweet boy that loves and protects his people and home. He will alarm you of any noise coming into or leaving your home.
Mateo loves to run, play fetch, and loves going after frogs to discover what they are. He uses his nose to find those darn creatures he does not understand but he wants to inspect.
If you've lost anything.... Like a toy, a sock, or food.. Mateo is sure to use his nose to find it. He is the sweetest boy ever. He loves to cuddle into your arms and if you get home from a long hard day he is the best boy to hold and snuggle. Mateo also loves to be heard. And he will require some basic training on how to react to dogs without barking. He is a great 'lifeguard' informing you and others that a pup ran into the pond. Mateo will watch him/her and confirm that pup is all dry before he moves onto his next pup that needs saving.
MATEO is neutered, has been de-wormed, is current on vaccinations, on monthly heart worm preventative, micro-chipped, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not administer it's own vaccination shots. All of our rescued dogs' medical care has been administered by a licensed Veterinarian. All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., pro-biotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
