Meet Cindy! Cindy is a gorgeous 1-year-old brown and white female German Shepherd mix who was surrendered to a high-kill California shelter because she kept escaping from her fenced in yard. Weighing 55 lbs, Cindy is a lean, athletic girl who is bursting with enthusiasm for life. She was great in doggy playgroup at the shelter in California and is doing well with the more easy-going, non-reactive dogs in her foster home. Her people friendly nature makes her a great candidate for outings at the beach or park. Cindy would do great hiking as she can climb and jump like a mountain goat. She loves to hop on the couch and snuggle with anyone in her foster family. Cindy is likely mixed with Basenji and will not get much larger than 60 pounds. She would love a home where she is not left alone to long as she does not like to be crated. She is current on vaccines, heartworm negative, spayed and microchipped. She will benefit from a basic training course including on leash training. Given that she is a smart, food motivated girl, training should be a breeze!
