Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My Name is Levi. I was rescued from a High Kill Shelter in Houston. I was very happy when arriving at my foster moms house. I am a Yorkie and Schnauzer Terrier mix and have quite the personality. I am a happy little guy and love to play. I like to get all the toys out of the toy box. I weigh almost 15 lbs (I have put on a couple pounds since being with my foster mama). I love to snuggle with my foster mom and foster dad. They always say I look dapper even when we're just cuddling on the couch. I am crate trained and so close to being house broken. I have an accident every once in a while, but if my foster parents let me out regularly, we are usually good to go. Because I’m young I would need a mid day break and shouldn’t be kenneled for more than 8 hours total in a day. I would LOVE doggie day care!
I have met some kids and absolutely love playing with them. They are so energetic that sometimes I need to take a break to nap while playing with them. I am still being leash trained but am very young and picking up super fast on everything the humans are trying to teach me. I love to play and romp around with other dogs and I don't care about cats. They hiss at me and scare me so I keep my distance. I would love a home where I can sleep with my human at night time since my favorite thing to do is cuddle with my humans. My foster parents say I would easily adapt in a home, probably because I am such a youngster.
**Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a home visit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered.
Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states.
