My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rothen is an 18 pound, 8-year-old mix breed from St. Martin. Though he survived when the island was demolished by hurricane Irma last year, he was lost and looking for his family for two months before they eventually reunited. Like many families in St. Martin, Rothen’s family recently needed to relocate and couldn’t take him with them. He was adopted by family here is the US and he’s struggling with this huge change in his life. At this point, it’s best for him to be in a new home with a family that has experience with older rescue dogs and understands how they may have fear at times and may need to be refreshed in house training. Generally, he’s a very sweet, snuggly boy but when he feels threatened he does act out sometimes. With time, patience and training he should remember that his humans are there to love, protect and care for him - just as he did in with his family in St. Martin.
