Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is TREVOR. I am doing so much better than when I first came into rescue! I know I don't look like much now but, that was because I was found as a throw away! I was literally in a dirt ditch left to die. I'm young and the word "galoot" describes me. I'm 18 months old with a great personality. I LOVE PEOPLE! Anyway, I've been gaining weight and my coat is coming in nicely and I so enjoy my daily walks with the volunteers. I'm a very happy guy who wants a family to love and who will love me. I'm a big fella, but sweet and will communicate with you when you talk to me. I've been a house dog and just want to spend time with you. I don't mind cats. I've made my Christmas List and on it is a big fenced yard and a place to run and play and lots of people to play with. I'd like a nice warm comfortable bed next to people I love and lots of toys and chew things. Can someone send Santa my wish list, please!?.
Note: Great Pyrenees are considered a Giant Breed. Average weight can be 100lbs. or more. They bark, shed and have a wanderlust, so secure fences are a must have. They are NOT off leash dogs and a Pyr off leash is called a "dis'a'Pyr". Some Pyrs do well with other dogs and some don't because by the virtue of their breed traits they were bred to keep out intruders and can consider some dogs as intruders. While they make wonderful pets and family dogs, they aren't for everyone so be sure to understand and learn about the breed traits of this breed or any breed you might be considering.
