My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charles “Charlie” arrived at RCCR from rural Missouri after his owner died suddenly and no other family members could care for him.

Charlie is a double coated, longhaired, mixed breed dog; perhaps with some chihuahua in the mix. He is approx. 5-6 years old and weighs 9 lbs. His soft brindle coat is brown & gold with a white muzzle and paws.

Charlie has a sweet, loving, low key personality. He’s great with everyone: adults, kids, other dogs, cats. He’s not in-your-face, enthusiastically kissy/friendly. Just easy going, smooth and, well, there. Charlie also loves soft squeak toys and balls.

He’s a fantastic fellow and likes to be with his people. He simply wants to replace the loving home he once had but lost so unexpectedly. He loves laps, rides really well in vehicles, walks good on leash. He doesn’t like to be crated. He barks to go out. He’s an all-around great companion, spelled with a capital “C.”

Charles is completely vetted: neutered, UTD on shots (rabies, distemper/parvo, bordetella), has had a dental cleaning, is heartworm disease negative, receives monthly preventives for flea/tick/heartworm, wormed, and is microchipped. With all of that done, his adoption fee is only $250.
