My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Chex, and I am a 9-12 month old deaf male short-haired pointer mix. I weigh in about 50 pounds of pure puppy love. My foster mom says I must be housebroken because I have not had even one accident in the house. I am great in the crate if you need me to go in there while you run errands or go to that pesky place called "work," and I can happily sleep there all night without making a sound! I am a happy boy that gets along with everyone- well, at least all people and other dogs- my mom hasn't exposed me to the feline persuasion yet, so I'm not sure about them at this time. Mom thinks I'd be great, though, because I am so well-behaved and can be somewhat shy and reserved. Let me get comfortable with you and my playful puppy side will show you my awesome personality. My perfect forever home would be with you, kids, and/or other dogs that understand my puppy needs to frisk about, run and play. I haven't mastered "fetch" yet, but I'm working on it! I do pretty well on a leash, but still need a boost into the car if we are going for a ride. I'm great getting out, just a little boost or a lift in would be appreciated.

I am going to the Pups for Parole program so that I can learn my manners and to learn sign language so that you can communicate better with me. I will be ready for life with you very soon! My foster mom says I have a beautiful voice, and even though I can't hear it, I can tell you that I am singing a happy tune for the chance at life with you!

*I am currently in the Pups for Parole training program. I will be available for adoption once I graduate in a few weeks, but you can apply for me now! Upon graduation, I will have all the basic training necessary to make a great companion. I will need a family willing to continue my training, I sure don't want to forget all that I'm learning!*

My adoption fee is $75 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
