Mr. Cheeks is a courtesy posting on the PAWS OHIO website for a family (who used to be very involved with animal rescue) who found this absolutely beautiful, tame and loving cat in a parking lot late July, near Berea. This kind family took him to the veterinarian for a check-up and a rabies vaccine. He was even scanned for a micro-chip, but does not have one. The vet determined this cat to be gray and white tabby/Maine Coon mix about 2 years old and he is neutered. Efforts were taken to see if he belonged to someone and was lost, to no avail. Since he was rescued he put on much needed weight for his large frame and he now weighs 12.5#. Mr. Cheeks has a very pleasant personality and wants nothing but love. He will head-but you for pets and he purrs like crazy. He is content and grateful to be rescued. He is a wonderful house guest! He is great with his rescue family's small dogs, pet cat and 5 year old grandchild who loves to shower him with attention and love! Also, he was pretty good about getting his nails trimmed at the groomers and there are no issues with using the litter box. The rescue family's pet cat is not happy to share her home with Mr. Cheeks, she is a one cat, cat! Mr. Cheeks is fine with her, but she is not fine with him. That is why they want to find Mr. Cheeks a most loving, forever home. There will be a small adoption fee for this wonderful cat.
