Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Striker! This guy is as goofy and playful as he is friendly!
Striker loves to go on walks and is happiest when people stop to say hello (which they do – often – might be the striking mix or the goofy ears but he draws attention for sure)!
Striker is still learning the basics but walks well on leash with a harness. He would do well with an active family and/or someone willing to keep his mind challenged with puzzles, games or training. He loves treats and is highly food motivated.
If left unsupervised pre-walk he has been known to create his own chew toys so lots of bones and toys are a must for this 8 month old pup. Post-walk however, this guy becomes a softy, preferring snuggles and belly rubs to anything else.
Striker isn’t a big fan of being love being left alone and he tends to whimper a lot, so he may not be the best dog for attached housing or an apartment. However, he has no problem going into his crate for a little down time or for meals if you are home.
Striker is also slowly learning to love the car rides, especially when they take him to his favourite dog park!
Breed: Shepsky (German Shepherd/Husky Mix)
Colour: Black & White with Brown Markings
Age: 8 Months Young
Size: Medium
Sex: Male, neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped
House trained: Yes
Crate trained: Yes, though I tend to make some noise when left alone. I just love being with my people.
Loose‐leash trained: With a harness I do fairly well and really enjoy walks in the neighborhood. I would benefit from further training though!
Commands: I’m currently learning the basics, but do “Sit” and “Crate” really well
Dogs: Yes! I get along really well with my foster sister and other pups I meet at the park.
Cats: Perhaps not, I tend to chase my foster cat.
Children: Older children would probably be best, I sometimes forget my size when playing with people and I’m still just a young pup.
Ideal Home: With an active family who are looking to continue my obedience training. Would also prefer detached housing as I can be a little vocal when people leave. Someone with husky/shepherd experience would be a bonus for me!
Could you be the one this boy has been looking for?
