Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A group fancy rats was abandoned in a Catskills apartment with 100+ others. These unfortunate rats were left to their own demise, to breed and fight over food that was never to come. Local animal shelters and sanctuaries were called, but only some of the rats were initially rescued. The rest, including many expecting females, were left for the exterminator. Thankfully, the exterminator was willing to wait, and give a chance to all who could be saved, as he himself reached out for help on the rats’ behalf.
6 adorable boys lovingly named the Avengers Group are now safe with us. Stark, Parker, Thor (adoptable as a trio!), and Loki and Star-Lord (adoptable as a pair), among many others we took in, were welcomed into an ECC foster home, after being examined by our vet. Despite being shy at first, we were happy to learn that all were mellow and trusting, as even our vet noted during his exam. Healthy and with good temperament, our friends adjusted quickly into their new enclosure and out-of-cage play routine. The boys teamed up in two group and we are looking to adopt them as such.
Star-Lord (gray with white spot on forehead) and Loki (gray) bonded strongly in their foster home, and are always seen napping together, playing tag in their enclosure and during their out-of-cage time, and joining their forces to beg for snacks. Loki, the courageous one, is always the first to come over, the first one to try out a new hiddy place, and the first to find a hidden snack. But, in no time at all, his shadow Star-Lord appears, and makes up in chewing, what he lacked in time, managing to grab more than his half. The boys are due for their Insta fame, and we are looking to find a family to appreciate them for all they are.
We are looking for a family that is willing to be patient, kind, and always act in the best interest of their adoptive fur-children. We are looking for both experienced ratty adopters, as well as those who are new to fancy rats- but who are willing and ready to be educated.
