Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Jakub, our 6 month old husky / boxer mix. He will always greet you with a smile on his face and a wag of his tail. Very cute! Gorgeous coat. Those eyes!!!
He weighs 35 lbs now and will grow to be a medium to large dog. Loves everyone he meets. He is very friendly. Laid back. LOVES belly rubs.
GREAT off leash, he will stay right with you will hiking or camping. Likes cats & is great with the horses.
He currently is fostered on a 15 acre horse farm and loves to run and play.
If you are interested in giving Jakub a wonderful home, go to our Facebook page and download the application from the "Notes" section. While you are there, please "Like" our page to see our new available dogs and keep up with upcoming events.

You can also email us at merceranimalrescue@gmail.com and we will email an application to you.
Jakub's adoption donation is $525 which helps to cover his neutering, series of three puppy shots, bordetella (kennel cough), rabies, vet examination, flea/tick prevention, heart worm prevention and includes cost of transport.
ALL OUR DOGS BEGIN THEIR JOURNEY IN TENNESSEE
Jakub lives with a foster home in Tennessee. He will travel to his new family once he has been adopted. We use a weekly transport to the east coast where the dogs can be picked up in VA, MD, PA, NJ, NY, CT, VT.
Transport to the Chicago area is oncemonthly. The next transport to Chicago is Sunday, October 7, 2018.
Our primary source of funding comes from this adoption donation. This donation allows us to rescue other dogs in danger of being put to sleep, injured or sick dogs and dogs that have never known the comfort of a home.
