Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oh how happy you have made me And more times than i can count I have called you mine You have stood by me In my darkest hours
Oh how happy you have made me You brought joy To my empty life, yeah And all that was wrong You made it right - from 'Oh How Happy' by Ellie Greenwhich
Ellie May is pretty as a picture and such a happy girl! This precious pooch is a 1 year old Catahoula/Hound mix who currently weighs 50 lbs. She had a rough start to life but somehow this has not affected her sweet disposition. Ellie was rescued from an overcrowded chaotic animal control facility and like so many others she was found to have heartworms. The beautiful thing about having second chances is that many neglected and abandoned pups get to live a wonderful healthy life and oh how happy that makes us all feel. Ellie has since been treated for her heartworms and she came through with flying colors. In the midst of being treated, resting, and getting lots of love and attention we found that Ellie has excellent house manners to go with her sweet as sugar personality. She is house and crate trained. Unlike most dogs, she actually loves her crate kind of like her very own she cave . She doesn't necessarily need to be crated but we bet she'd love a little hidey hole of some kind especially when you run the vacuum cleaner (she is not a fan). Ellie is great with every one she meets including kids of all ages. She is wonderful with other dogs and thinks cats are her friends. She is great on car rides and is such a good girl on walks. Foster mom says she just needs to be reminded to slow down when the walk is at an end. Ellie May is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, heartworm free, and micro chipped. Other than gushing about how perfect this darling girl is we are not real sure what else to add other than oh how happy you and she will be when you know you have each other. No more empty life because with Ellie May in your life you make thing right and she'll bring on the joy. Oh how happy indeed!
