My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Heidi is a fun loving 2 year old Miniature Pincher mix who weighs 15 pounds looking for a forever home.

Heidi is a fun loving puppy who is quite submissive. She gets along very well with all sizes of dogs. She has not been cat tested. She would do well with adults and children of all ages.

Heidi loves to play. She enjoys toys and loves to play fetch but can also play by herself. One of her favorite games is to steal a sock from you and run away with it! Heidi wants to please her people and make everyone happy.

Heidi does well on a leash and sleeps in her very own dog bed by her foster moms bed in her foster home in Alabama. Heidi is not afraid of a car ride and is not a fussy eater.

Heidi is house trained and knows how to use a doggy door. Like all rescue dogs he will need to be confident in her environment to have good potty habits. All rescue dogs go thru a period of adjustment so understanding and patience is important.

Heidi is heart worm positive and is undergoing GetALong Dachshund Rescue’s slow kill protocol. We will provide this treatment for Heidi to any approved adopter until such time Heidi tests negative for heartworms. She is doing very well with this treatment!
