â 6-2-19 Update from Gordo’s Foster Dad-
Wanted to update you guys. Gordo is doing great. He's walking well on a leash. As long as there are no deer or bunnies in sight, he walks to the right and doesn't pull. He knows basic commands: sit stay, down, off.
And as you can see from the attached, we have off leash recall down. No problem. He loves his toys. He carries them around all the time. He wants lots of attention when he's awake. But typical pit, sleeps about 20 hours a day. Crating is no problem. He carries his baby in there and always gets it out when he is out.
He likes to ride in the car. He's been very friendly with everyone he's met except one. It was a man with a big hat, glasses and a full beard. If he gets startled while he's out on a walk, then he becomes defensive. A turtle and a balloon got the drop on him and then it takes some re focusing to get him settled down.
But all in all he's great. I'm really enjoying my time with him.
9/18- Gordo was hit by a car as a stray in September. He had numerous injuries but his broken pelvis meant he would need months to recovery. He has made an 90% full recovery as of now (January). He still has a break but it is stable. He continues to get stronger and rebuild muscle every day.
Gordo's adoption fee is $250. This includes vaccinations, microchip, neuter/spay, and a clean bill of health unless otherwise specified. If you're interested to bring Gordo into your family, please apply online at www.nashvillepittie.org/adoption
