Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Venus is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down here, so she is willing to move north for a good loving forever home.
Venus is one of 3 puppy sisters saved from a fast kill, small town, dog pound facility. She appears to be a hound or black mouth cur mix. Venus is the middle sized sister, she is very sweet and gentle but is a bit on the shy side. It is important that her adoptive family be loving, gentle and patient - to allow Venus time to adjust to a new home. Venus is a very sweet girl..... the shyest sister Pita was adopted and her new dad reports that "Pita has blossomed into a social butterfly. If her sisters are anything like her....a family will be lucky to have them." Venus is house trained, crate trained and other wise good in the house. We occasionally forget to crate her and she simply sleeps on the couch and doesn't get into anything. Venus loves toys, playing with other dogs, treats, and snuggling. Venus is healthy, happy, active and playful. But she will need gentle obedience training and further socialization is important. Venus must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and would like a secure fenced yard to run and play.
Venus is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. She has been started on heartworm and flea preventative. Serena has a $450.00 adoption fee which includes ground transport via Rescue Road Trips for pickup in Zanesville Ohio.
