Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This adorable little guy with eyes that will melt your heart is Gus, a 2 yr old Cavalier King Charles X Spaniel. He’s the size of a Cocker Spaniel with the energy and athleticism of all sporting Spaniels. He loves outdoor adventures as much as he loves snuggling on the sofa. If he’s not sitting on a lap nothing makes him happier than playing a game of fetch or a taking a long leisurely walk in the park. He’s a high energy little guy who can really chill out when he is at home. He’s a perfect little pet with a sweet, even tempered and loving nature.
Gus has lived with his human family and his Golden Retriever brother since he was a young pup. Life has been very happy for Gus until recently when a new baby arrived at his home. Since the baby came to stay, Gus has been very out of sorts and seems to get more depressed each day. He is used to getting lots of attention and he loved it that way but now the baby is the center of attention and poor little Gus is not taking well to the change. He is a little companion dog and feels lonely when his people are too busy for him. With this in mind, Gus’ humans, who love him, have made the tough decision to let him go to a family who can give him the love and attention he needs.
Gus is a very cheerful, outgoing and enthusiast pup. He loves people and is eager to meet everyone who crosses his path! He is polite and pleasant to new humans and peaceful with other dogs unless they try to take his toys! He is always ready for a trip to the dog park or to the field (especially if it involves a car ride) where he can chase a ball or stick forever! He is a vocal little character and will whine and cry if his people don’t throw fast enough and when he is super excited about an upcoming outing!
This little guy is a real gamer who will eagerly accompany his humans on all kinds of adventures and then come home and lay quietly by their side on the sofa hoping for a good tummy rub!
Willing to please and to make his humans happy, Gus listens well and has learned his basic commands. His recall is very good but to keep him safe on neighbourhood walks he stays on his leash. Gus has always lived with another dog so he is looking for a brother or sister canine in his new home. And as long as he has the company of another dog and his chew toys, he is content to stay home alone for short periods of time. His toys are precious to him so he is best living with adults and older kids who won’t try to take them from him! He is very active so is best suited to energetic, active people!
This happy little tail wagger with the big eyes and big heart is brimming with enthusiasm and fun! He is smart and affectionate and is always ready for action but is happy to stay home and cuddle too! He is the very best of both worlds - energetic playmate and kind, sensitive companion. He will bring happiness and joy to his new family.
