Rico is a wonderful pup! He is good with people, gentle with young children, good with dogs and cats. Rico is full of love! He is doing very well and ready for his own forever home. Rico started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. He is crate-trained and doing well on his housetraining. Rico rides well in the car and can wait patiently while his foster mom runs errands. He is a lovely boy and will make a wonderful family dog.
Rico’s Rescue Story
Poor Rico and his siblings were found abandoned and living as stray puppies in a public park. They were found by a rescue group that specializes in TNR (Trap/Neuter/Release) programs to control the overpopulation of stray dogs. The rescue group does not have the resources to find these puppies home. However, they have to make sure there won’t be more unwanted puppies. Therefore, they took in the four female puppies, Ritz, Riska, Riva, and Rissa and got them spayed. Unfortunately, they have to release them back to the park to live as stray dogs if they can’t find another rescue to help. Luckily an experienced rescue organization heard about their story and knew it was urgent to save them. They quickly took them in and requested the rescue to help them locate the remaining three male siblings, Ricci, Rico, and Richie. The founder of the rescue has a home full of over a hundred dogs waiting for homes. She didn’t have the heart to let them suffer on the streets.
The found of the rescue organizations foster all of the puppies in her home. The puppies all had a complete healthy checkup. Luckily, they are all healthy just underweight. All the puppies are doing very well in her home. They are enjoying the company of all her rescued dogs. They started leash training and are socialized with big and small dogs.
Rico has been neutered, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on his blood tests. Rico is ready for his own loving home.
We are looking for families that understands the responsibilities in raising puppies and have the time to properly socialize him to ensure he continue to grow up as happy and healthy dog. Before sending an application, please think twice if you have time to devote to raising a puppy and love them and be responsible for them forever.
