Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered.
Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states.
Meet Flour! Flour was found by an Emergency Animal Mobile who thought she was deceased. When they found her, not only was she alive, but she was in absolutely horrible condition and in much need of medial assistance. Flour, then known as Flor, was quickly transported to a shelter in Houston and received much needed medical attention. They saved her, but quickly learned she had no trust in humans and wanted nothing to do with anyone. The shelter reached out to Lola's Lucky Day and asked if we would take her.
A volunteer quickly went and picked up poor Flor and brought her to her new foster home! It took over a week, but her foster mom and her became good friends! She met the cats, Benny & Knight and soon became friends with the big dogs too! Next up was more humans, she really liked her foster dad and warmed up to her foster brother, an 11 year old boy. Flor became Flour then (made more sense with her coloring) and surprised everyone at how much love she had to give! Flour still does take a little bit of time to get used to new people, but once she knows you, you're her friend forever!
Flour was Heartworm positive, and just finished her heartworm treatment! She was a trooper through it all and again, impressed her foster mom with how well she behaved for everyone! Over the last 2 and a half months, Flour has blossomed so much and we know the perfect family is out there looking for her. She does get along well with other dogs, but would do best being the only dog in the home. Flour gets extremely jealous for attention, she does not like to share the spotlight with anyone (person or animal) and wants all the love and attention for herself! She is working hard on potty training and loves her food (though she is on a diet right now). This little girl is going to make someone extremely happy, would that be you?
Adoption fee is $350.
