My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our handsome Mr. Shadow is a loving, healthy 3-year-old, Heeler mix. He is loving, gentle, wants to please and very intelligent. He is housebroken and loves the option of the foster home's doggy door.
In the past, Shadow was a chewer. In fact, he was dumped at a shelter for chewing some shoes. This behavior has been easily addressed by just making sure he always has a big bone to gnaw on throughout the day.
Shadow continues to work on some routine manners (such as not jumping on people). He once lived with a guy who was abusive to him so Shadow is reluctant to trust men. He has warmed up to the husband in the foster home.....just needs time to know he won't be harmed. If a new male figure comes into the house, Shadow goes into a protective mode and bark.
And we always celebrate when our rescues are great wit kids! Shadow currently lives with a 4-year-old. Of course supervision with pre-school age kids is always recommended. This boy is in great health and just waiting for the perfect new guardians to step forward.

The adoption donation is $100 and proof of registration in a training course...........just to get things going on the right paw.
