Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Magnolia is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down here, so she is willing to move north for a good loving forever home.
Magnolia was saved from death row at a fast kill, small town, dog pound. She is a very sweet little black lab mix around 1 year of age and ca. 50 pounds. If you want a super sweet, gentle, and low energy dog - this is the girl for you. Magnolia is very friendly and loving. Her fur is very soft. She loves toys, playing with other dogs, and splashing in the wading pool. She likes to lay in the yard and sun herself. Magnolia is house trained, crate trained, and otherwise good in the house. She may need a bit more obedience training. But she comes when she is called and goes in her crate when you tell her to. Magnolia must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and would like a secure fenced yard to run and play.
Magnolia has had surgery (a FHO) on her left hip. She is fully using the let and is ready to go to a new home. Magnolia can run and play but will sit down and rest when she needs to. She can go on walks but will probably need to build up her endurance. I would say that jogging is out of the question, and no interaction with dogs that like to play really rough. Magnolia will always run a bit funny (see video). A previous vet did recommend that she be given Cosequin, and she should continue to receive this medication for the remainder of her life.
Magnolia is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She is negative for heart worms and current on heart worm and flea preventative. Magnolia has a $500.00 adoption fee which includes ground transport to Strasburg VA or Hagerstown MD.
