My story

Another rescue from the county shelter, Baxter is probably the gentlest pup we’ve seen in some time. Sensitive and sweet, Baxter will do best in a quiet home. Shouting and fussing make him retreat to safer spaces so lots of positive reinforcement, happy talk and praise are the way to this guy’s heart. Baxter is fastidious in his kennel, fine with other dogs, approximately 65 pounds, heartworm negative and somewhere between 2-3 years old. He is a fast learner when taught with praise and kindness (and really, there should be no other way). We suspect he’s a shepherd mix and he does have an abundant coat so if hair in the house is not your thing, move along. Baxter is neutered, UTD on vaccinations and ready to find his forever spot.
