My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Duncan! This little nugget was rescued from the county shelter where he was in danger of being euthanized. He is a 6 month old, 7 pound Cairn Terrier with the cutest and sweetest little disposition. This boy runs and plays like a maniac and then loves to snuggle on the couch to refuel!

You may wonder why an ADORABLE puppy like Duncan was in danger of being euthanized. This sweet boy has a medical issue that makes him a little extra work! He is incontinent and doesn't have full control over his bladder or bowel. He's had a full work-up at our vet's office and even saw a neurological specialist. All the doctors agree that this is something congenital.

In the couple months that he's been in rescue, with a healthy diet and a good routine, his issues are extremely manageable, but he does require a little extra care, so Duncan needs a forever home where his humans aren't gone for long periods of time. With his incontinence, he needs regular help to go potty, so he cannot be left alone for a typical work day. He would also like a home with another playful pup because he gets along with everyone and love, love, loves to play!

Duncan is crate trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. His adoption fee is $300. For the chance to adopt Duncan, please complete an application at happytailsaz.org.
