My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aaliyah is a 3 year old mastiff mix. She was originally a stray that was most likely abandoned by someone, but we doubt that she ever lived in a home or had many human interactions before being caught. She has worked hard over the last six months to build her confidence, but she will still need someone who is willing to take things slow and not put her in situations that are too overwhelming for her before she is ready.

While we would prefer to place her in a more quiet and low traffic home, she's got a decent amount of energy and definitely will need someone who is active and will take her on walks or to play in the yard. She will also need regular safe outings out of the house in order for her to continue to conquer her fears so that she can grow into a balanced, confident dog. She has so much potential and deserves someone who will help her reach it.

She likes other dogs, but prefers dogs her size. She is also fine with cats with proper, supervised introductions. We will not be placing her with kids any younger than 12 because she can be fearful and hand shy.
