Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet King! King was dumped at the shelter with his housemate. His housemate was adopted shortly after arriving, and King was left all alone. That’s when we stepped in. King is looking for a home that will provide structure and training so he can be the best boy ever!
Estimated age: 4-5 years old
Breed: Staffy
Weight: 65 pounds
House & crate trained
Favorite Things:
-King loves treats and is very treat motivated! He is quick to show off his obedience skills when there's a treat waiting for him
-Enjoys car rides, especially when he can get in the front seat
-LOVES to chase water from the hose...like, really. It might be his favorite thing ever
-Loves to explore new hiking trails
Seeking:
-Family who likes to go for walks or hikes!
-Home with kids over the age of 12. King gets carried away when excited or playing, and doesn't not want to knock anyone over
-Home WITHOUT large male dogs. King gets along with female dogs of all sizes and with male dogs that are smaller than him.
-Home willing to provide him lots of toys to play!!
-Not looking to go to the dog park/dog bar
-A family who can snuggle him during storms, they're scary!
Before emailing- please read:
- Yes, this dog is available for adoption
- The adoption fee for King is $265
- Apply at c2cnd.org
- The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care.
- Local adopters only. Due to our thorough adoption process including home visits, we limit our adoptions to local families in the greater Charlotte area.
- If you have any additional questions, email us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible!

Additional adoption info
To begin the adoption process, please complete the adoption application online.
Please see our adoptable pets page for a list of the current pets that we have for adoption.
All interested applicants must complete an adoption application for the pet that you are interested in. Applications are considered in the order in which they are received.
One of our volunteers will review the application and contact you via email or phone to ask any questions that we might have. We also reserve the right to perform a home visit for any adoption. During a home visit, a Catering to Cats and Dogs volunteer will come to your house to see where your new pet will live.
If you are not sure which one of our adoptable pets would be right for you, please contact us and we would be happy to advise you as to which pet may be a match, just let us know what you are looking for.
Once your application is approved and a match is found, you will be required to sign an adoption contract and pay the recovery fee
