Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cutter is a two year old Mini Blue Merle in OK. He weighs about 22 pounds and is a mighty 22. He is ready to look for his new mom or dad that he can really bond with and become a special man in some families home.
Cutter’s number one thing in life is to play ball. He can jump three feet in the air and catch that tennis ball and he’s happy to play ball for a long time.
Cutter came to his foster mom having a really hard time with all the many changes and moves he had experienced. Cutter needed some time to just relax and take life easy. Cutter took awhile to realize that another dog could be a good thing in his life. He has now learned to play with several female dogs. He can be selective in his male play mates. Cutter will probably do best in a home with one other female dog. It will be best if he meets his potential fur sister a few times before he makes his move to his new home. Cutter does fine with his cat mates.
Cutter came to his foster mom with problems dealing with barriers, both crate doors and back doors . He has come so far. He still displays some occasional anxiety compared to his first days but has made remarkable progress and continues to improve.
He has begun to enjoy bath time and human attention but can still be a little grumpy if the stimulation is too much for him. So he needs a human who will take the time to learn his language and give him his space when he needs it.
Cutter will need a very strong dog savvy human in his home. Cutter needs to know what’s expected of him, have a clear routine, have strong boundaries and to know what is acceptable behavior to his human. When he’s given this he makes great progress and can be a very happy boy. Because he is a hopping, jumper and he is still learning his boundaries we don’t recommend Cutter go to a home with small children. Older Teens might be ok.
Cutter will not be able to make a long transport and will need his new family to meet him in OKC, OK. Cutter will need all potential new family members both human and canine to meet him.
Cutter is neutered, up to date on vaccines, on heartworm and flea and tick prevention and is microchipped.
If you think Cutter could be your ball buddy his adoption fee is $325 and he is available for adoption through Australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application
