Here's what the humans have to say about me:
INITIAL BIO 04-09-09: MEET PARKER! Parker was a shelter stray who was overlooked for adoption for some reason – UYR to the rescue! He is a very, very sweet and affectionate little boy who loves to give kisses. He also loves to play with other dogs – his behavior is more like a 2 y/o than a 4 y/o dog. He listens to Foster Mom and pays attention to her commands. Parker gets along with other dogs and so far hasn’t paid any attention to the neighborhood cat. He is housetrained and walks well on a leash, but his new parents need to work a little bit on that with him. Parker is being fostered in Miramar, FL; his adoption fee is $450, plus $18.50 to register his microchip with AVID. All of our foster dogs are fully vetted, altered, current on all vaccinations, including rabies. It’s the nature of rescue that the larger adoption donations for the healthy, younger dogs like Parker help pay the vet bills for the older, medically-needy ones. It's also very seldom that the adoption donation will pay for the vetting that these foster dogs often need. Parker is 4 y/o weighs 7.4#. NOTE: Because of Parker’s smaller size, he can only be adopted into a home with children over the age of 12 y/o.
