My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Batman is just over 1 year old, male, all black cat. He is a little nervous around new people and loud noises, but once he gets comfortable he loves attention, being pet and played with. He loves to hide under the covers, or even in a box . If you have room in your heart and home to take him home, be patient with him as he discovers all the hiding spots, including under your bed sheets/blankets.

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and a fecal test.

Our shelter is located at 2944 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886. You are welcome to visit during the following hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 12pm-3pm, and Saturdays 10am-12pm. Very young kittens are in foster homes, not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting a younger cat/kitten please fill out our adoption application for pre-approval.

We have an Adoption Open House every Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon. Same day adoptions available to those who bring a completed adoption application, a current lease or proof of home ownership, and up to date veterinary records. We hope to see you there!
