Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Walter came from Martinez animal shelter. He was a severe neglect case found as a stray. He is estimated to be 3 years old. He is crate trained and potty trained.
Walter needs proper introduction to knew people. He is very responsive to verbal correction of his handler. Walter likes to guard his human and will push other dogs away to get all the attention. This is corrected each time and he a lot better with it. Walter does not tolerate being challenged by other dogs. He does fine with the low key male and small dogs in his foster home. A proper introduction is necessary for introductions.
Walter knows his basic commands; sit, down, shake, crate. He lives to snuggle on the couch, guard the fence, car rides.
Walter was neglected most of his life, his poor body is slowly healing from that. He is such a sweet dopey guy who deserves to be someone's love of their life. Walter was completely bald and underweight, he had skin infections and ear infections. His stomach was filled with rocks. He has since gained weight, his skin issues is a slow healing process and eventually he will have all of his plush coat back.
He is currently being fostered in Galt, CA.
