Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shasta is a 5-6 year old dog from animal control in El Campo. She is spayed/vaccinated/microchipped. Shasta is a terrier mix and weighs 28 pounds.
She has a mast cell tumor on her back leg. There is not enough skin to remove the tumor and close the surgical wound. Shasta is on Benadryl twice a day to slow the spread of the cancer.
She also has heartworms. We are doing the “slow kill” treatment: Heartgard every month and Doxycycline, an antibiotic, every six months as long as she is positive.
Shasta is very food/toy/territory possessive so needs to be an only dog.
Yes, she has issues, but she’s a fun dog for a person or couple that can give her a good life for as long as possible.
For adoption information please call Cheryl at 979-732-5591. Shasta's adoption fee is $75.00.
