My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here's to song, here's to time; Here's to both with friends of mine; Here's to friends who raise their voices high. Kings have riches widely lain,
Lords have land, but then again, We have friends and song no wealth can buy. -from 'Here's To Song' by Allister MacGillivray
Here's to a life of freedom and forever being loved after being rescued from an over crowded animal control facility. Allister is one very lucky little guy! Allister is a 3 month old Lab/Hound mix who currently weighs 20 lbs, we expect him to be around 50 lbs when full grown. This little boy has already been through so much in his little life and he has overcome it all! Just days after being pulled into rescue he came down with parvo and he was one sick little guy. He's a one heck of a little fighter and he made it through his life saving treatment at the doggy hospital. Looking at this precious pup today you would never suspect he had been through any kind of ordeal. Allister is doing well with his potty training when taken out for regular potty breaks. He is crate trained as well but he must be let out to go potty no more than 4 hours because his little bladder is not yet full grown and he just can't hold it more than that right now. He is still a little uneasy with leash walking but continues to get braver with each adventure. He has done very well with every one he has met and he enjoys playing with the other foster dogs. He still has sharp puppy teeth and can be a bit mouthy at times but this too will get better with maturity. Allister LOVES all kinds of toys. He has not yet mastered fetch but it's just a matter of time. He is an absolute cuddle bug who loves to be loved and returns affection in kind. His foster mom has been letting him sleep on the bed at night and he has done really well so long as he is pottied before bed and taken out immediately upon waking. He is your typical silly mischievous puppy who will steal your socks and shoes then play a game of chase (if you get your shoes and socks back you win!!). Like all babies, little Allister will need a family who is willing to put forth the time, effort, and patience to supervise and continue to train him to be the best boy he can be. Allister is already neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. He is ready to find his happily ever after with a family who will love him for ever and always because his love and friendship will know no bounds. So from our sweet Allister... here's to song and here's to time and here's to both with friends of mine!
