Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, my name is Aries and I am believed to be a Schipperke/Chihuahua mix. I am about 2-3 years old. I am affectionate, charming and graceful. My favorite place in the house will be your lap but don’t let that fool you because I am extremely smart and eager to please.
My trainer stated that “ Aries has been a pleasure to work with because she is such a quick learner. She is focused and willing to please. She responds well to both visual cues and voice commands. Because she has been so quick to learn, I have been able to teach her some really fun tricks. She even self-corrects when she gets a command confused”. Her trainer added that while Aries can be a little timid at first she adjusts well. Her focus and loving eyes will melt your heart. He added that Aries would make a great indoor dog but also loves to play outside. She is really good on a leash and loves to take walks. She is very adaptable and loves to cuddle.
Aries will graduate from the New Leash on Life program on December 12, 2018. If you would like to meet Aries, she will be participating in the Oriental Spirit of Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 8, 2018. If you would like to adopt Aries, please fill out an adoption application, found below her picture. If you have any questions, call Sue at 252-626-3899 or Penny at 252-249-1453. If you would like to sponsor Aries, become a PAWS member or make a donation, please visit our other pages on this site.
All NLOL dogs are fully vetted, up to date on vaccines and spayed or neutered. When they graduate from the New Leash on Life program, they will have 8 weeks of crate and housebreaking training along with basic obedience and agility training. Please call soon -- I'll we waiting!
