Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rocky #18-388. Arrived 8/2/2018 at 2 years old.
Rocky was an owner surrender. It was one of those situations where you don't ask many questions, just get the dog in, and signed over, and then say, "what just happened"? Rocky's family walked into the shelter to trade him for a smaller dog due to the size limit they were allowed in their housing. We didn't have any suitable smaller dogs at the time, but we offered to take Rocky anyway, sight unseen. Rocky was in impeccable condition, cute as a button, and happy to meet everyone. He presented well at the shelter and he was quickly adopted. Unfortunately, within the two weeks of being in his new home, Rocky became very protective and showed resource guarding. Rocky is weary of men and more comfortable with women. Rocky will need a home that is experienced with these behavior issues and prepared for lifetime maintenance. once his new home has him on program, they will enjoy he relationship they have.
