My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mika is an adorable little girl who is 6-1/2 years old and now weighs a much healthier 5.6 lbs. She is being fostered in Lighthouse Point, FL.

UPDATED BIO 09/04/2018: Mika arrived into rescue several weeks ago needing emergency surgery to save her life. She has recuperated from this big surgery, gained a pound, and has had her stitches removed. Mika’s optimum healthy weight should be 6 lbs and she should reach that very soon since she has an excellent appetite and loves to eat.

Mika adjusted quickly to her foster home. She is not only calm and cooperative, but she has only barked once since arriving in her foster home. She is also very smart. This sweet girl is leash-trained and loves to go on walks. She is also house-trained and is also trained to use a pee-pee-pad when needed. Mika loves sitting on your lap and following her people around.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to her small size, Mika cannot be adopted into a home with children under 14 years old.
