Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi Everypawdy!,
My name is Jessie and I am a 6 yr old Westie girl. I came to wescue as I was a breeder doggie that found herself with diabetes. Now that I am with Westie Rescue Of North Texas, I want to find my furever home. Let me tell you about myself.
When I visited with my WRNT dogtor, I needed my insulin regulated, so I was placed with my foster family who has a Westie and I get along with her very well. I needed to gain some weight and I have done that. I have been under the care of my dogtor and foster family and my insulin is now regulated. What that means is, I am stable and I get a shot in the morning with breakfast and a shot in the evening with my dinner. I have no problem taking my shots as I am such a trooper!. From here on out, as long as I see the dogtor at least every 6 months, so I can have my insulin levels checked , I am good to go!. (Woof!!)
My ideal family would be someone who can continue with my twice daily shots when I eat. I am healthy other than my diabetes. I love to play with toys and love to go outside in the back yard to explore whats out there and play with my foster pawrents Westie girl. I love having a family and I am ready for my own now! I have learned to potty outside with the help of my foster family and I get praised every time I do! .
I love to give kisses and lounge with my humans when there is some good tv shows on. I really want a family to call my own, please don't let the word diabetes scare you. I don't.. I have a lot to give and a lot to do in my life!. I am waiting patiently, are you my furever? If so, please submit your application in at www.wrnt.org and mention me, Jessie. I'll be patiently waiting!
