My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Look, we get it. Cats are beautiful animals, and you want to hang out with the most exotic creature you can find. And so you see pictures of Kaizer and Ginsburg, a couple of plain old black-and-white kitties, and you want to swipe left. But if you're looking for loving companions, you can't do any better than these guys. They were born in June and came to us as rescues a month later. They caught a cold near the end of the summer but are now healthy and ready for adoption.
Kaizer rushes in where other kitties fear to tread. He's so bold and so social, he can be a pest. When he's ready for a nap, he wants your lap. In fact, he'd prefer to lie across your arms, just to make sure you don't forget he's there. Ready for bed? Kaizer is there to share body heat on a chilly night. Grabbing a snack? Kaizer will volunteer to taste test it for you. Working on your laptop? Kaizer will have some helpful edits. Want a little private time in the bathroom? Kaizer will make sure you're not lonely.
If Kaizer sounds like too much for you, then Ginsburg is your gal. She's a bit more demure than her brother, but no less affectionate. She'll purr at the mere sight of you and will curl up with you at every opportunity. They're both still kittens, full of playful energy and wonder, and they're ready to brighten up any home that could use a little spark.

This Old Cathouse (our foster group) is a kitten rescue organization based in Rochester, N.Y. We take in kittens—including those that require bottle-feeding—that would otherwise be euthanized at overcrowded shelters. We also run a non-profit that matches our rescued pets with refugee families and subsidizes their care. We rely on donations, and we hope you can help us by spreading the word about our work.
