My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi hi! Let’s get started by me introducing myself – My name is Gizmo but now everyone calls me Gizzy for short since we are pretty sure I am a girl and not a boy! I am a very energetic, happy little budgie who loves to look at myself in my mirror and jungle my bell!. I am very cute if I do say so myself. We budgies love bells and toy - lots and lots of toys!

My foster Mommy is trying to get me to start eating some new food called pellets but even with a nice healthy mix of seed and pellets, I am still choosing to eat the seeds. Yes Yes, I know they aren’t very healthy for me, but possibly if you continue to work with me on this “pellet” thing I may switch! I have also been given these “green” things to try to eat. I think my foster Mommy called it broccoli and baby romaine lettuce. YUCK! She also gave me some sprouted seed which are very good for me and I love the sprouts, but still not sure of those “green” things!

I would love to find someone who would welcome me into their life. I do have to tell you that I am not hand tamed yet, hands make me VERY nervous, so it will take some time, lots of love and patience for me to get use to hands. But I am a real cutie so well worth the time and patience.

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
