Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I'm Steve! I am a loving guy, my foster mom calls me "a big baby." I am a 1-2 year old, 50lb. pit/lab mix. I have a strong bark because I like to show off and let the hoomans know when I want to play. I definitely still have my playful puppy pants on. I am good with other fun dogs. I love kids, but the small ones fall over when I jump up to get a closer look and some loving. I am working on potty training. I do pretty well on the leash but sometimes I forget I have a leash on. I have a really cool lightening bolt print on my neck, kind of like Lightning McQueen! Sometimes I think I'm a lap dog but I prefer to sit by the hoomans feet. I would love a fenced yard or frequent walks. Car rides are super fun! I am looking for my forever home. If you would like to meet me and maybe be my new home fill out an application!
My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out*

*Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home.
