Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Look at this ADORABLE face!! She needs a home... PLEASE SHARE.... She's available with our friends over at Animal Pawtectors.
Here’s a little love from Midge!
She is ready for her new home, however she needs a special person - and we know they are out there!
Midge will take a special person that understands her. She lost her mom and spent many many months at a shelter. She did bite someone, she’s not proud of it, but everyone, people and dogs, make mistakes. She did it out of pain when someone tried to pick her up. it was discovered that she needed a pin removed in her leg, which was causing her some discomfort. After we rescued her from AWL, we had the pin removed, but she is still a little painful.
She needs a quiet home with no kids or large dogs. She was originally surrendered to the shelter with a small dog, who moved on quickly to a new home. Sadly, Midge waited and waited. Her “attitude” didn’t help, but she hurt, she didn’t feel well, and she is a chihuahua after all! 🤷♀️ Midge isn’t perfect, but she will be the perfect pup for the person who understands, the person who gets it, someone who will take a chance and understand her. She loves her foster mom, giving her kisses and enjoying being curled up on her lap. She has a hard time getting to that cozy lap, but we recently had some stairs donated to help her little legs find the sweet spot!
She doesn't care for her foster brothers and sisters much...all except for the quiet calm one of the bunch. The other dogs are large and scary to her. She can be with older, submissive, or neutral dogs.. Puppies - no way she says!
If you think you might be “the one and only” for Midge, fill out an application at www.animalpawtectors.org
