Meet Sarge!

Sarge was surrendered to ADORE by someone who kept him chained in the middle of the front yard with a dog igloo (that had nails protruding from the inside) and no shade. His water dish was algae infested and weeks old. Because of the conditions he was kept in, Sarge is heartworm positive. Don't worry, ADORE gets him treated and heartworms are NOT contagious to people or other dogs.

Sarge is sometimes shy with meeting new people, a slow introduction is the best for him. He is such a handsome and happy boy now that he knows what air conditioning is and he gets plenty of love and attention. Sarge did well on his dog test but has not been tested with cats. Sarge was in a temporary foster home with other dogs and kids, and he did well.
