Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Happy afternoon folks. Say a great big hello to Vanessa, a 3-year-old Spitz-Chihuahua cross. Vanessa came to us after one of our great rescuers in Guadalajara found her wandering and hiding amongst the bushes. Poor little girl. She is healthy and happy thankfully. Luis and his family have taken great care of her and their dedication shows.
Vanessa is a sweet and relatively shy little girl. She warms up quickly but does need to take that moment to assess you and then she is all over you for kisses and playtime. We don't think she will ever be the life of the party and we are kind of hard-pressed to imagine her engaging in bad pup antics. She's just so good. We suppose once she gets totally comfortable she might be willing to consider stealing a sock, but right now, she's acting like a debutante at her coming-out ball. Nervous, demure and quiet.
Vanessa will always be a small girl at the 10 pound range and she is a moderate energy girl. We don’t expect that to change. She does enjoy playing and romping, as most little dogs do, however she is not the type to lead anyone down dark paths of bad behavior, but with another dog to lead the way, she's so polite she would probably go along with it, so as not to be rude.
Vanessa is good with dogs, cats and people regardless of age.

We are a registered non profit society. All our dogs are vaccinated, sterilized and are fostered in homes with families.
NOBARS believes that a dog is best assessed for a new home environment by living in one!!!! Therefore we do not use kennels, but have a network of approved foster homes where our dogs can be properly assessed before being offered for rehoming. Our foster homes offer a varied range of experiences which means we can choose an appropriate foster home for each dog, but it also means our dogs are able to experience situations which are invaluable to owners looking to take on a new forever friend, such as children, cats and other dogs.
