Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cooper is a cross post. Please contact L. Scott at 304-820-2832 if you are interested in him.
Cooper - male/neutered - black lab, or possibly lab mix - one year of age - black short coat - 65 pounds
This lovely fellow is Cooper.
Cooper was one year old in March. He has a sweet, gentle disposition and a wistful expression. A beautiful dog, Cooper looks like a black lab, or a black lab mix, although we have no knowledge on his background. He is approximately 65 pounds.
As a puppy, Cooper was given as a gift to a young person who could not care for him. That person’s mom took Cooper in, but has since experienced changes in her life that make her unable to give Cooper the quality of life that he deserves. His time with her has given him an opportunity to know love, and to learn how to be completely house trained and crate trained.
He also has enjoyed excellent socialization with other dogs and with people of all ages - with whom he gets along famously. His leash work is good considering the fact that it is still new to him - up until recently he had enjoyed a fenced yard. He is a dog who wants to learn and to please, and he does his very best in all things.
Cooper’s energy level is medium although interested adopters should be prepared with a plan to provide him with exercise daily. He settles well when he comes in the house.
Cooper loves to go swimming and to ride in the car. He is a professional cat chaser, so a home with cats is not recommended for Cooper.
Cooper has been neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.
If you are interested in adopting Cooper, please contact L. Scott at 304-820-2832
