Mayo was found when he was 5 months old with a mayonnaise jar stuck on his head. He was found in a office building parking lot scared with difficulty breathing. He would have died in 24 hours if not rescued. The jar was plastic and was able to be cut open to be removed. The poor boy was terrified. He was feral and could not be released because there was no colony for him to go back to. He was probably dumped in the parking lot. He was then going to be held until a suitable barn home was found and during that time has become very friendly...in fact a big mush ball that wants to be pet and held most of the time. Although, he is very frightened of strangers and will need time to get to know you before he trusts. Mayo is only just over a year old, neutered, negative for leukemia and aids and up-to-date on his vaccines. We believe he needs an adult home with no children and the patience to give him time to adjust. He's truly an awesome cat and will climb all over you once he does. He also loves other cats and would love another cat to play with. If you can give this lucky boy a real loving home please call 845-641-0092.
