My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rio is a delightful 3-yr-old that was surrendered to IGCA Rescue. We still haven't figured out why! This sweet, blue Irish boy has been a model citizen since coming into our program and has stolen the hearts of everyone he meets!

Because he did not receive proper vet care prior to entering Rescue, Rio was diagnosed heartworm positive. He has already started his heartworm treatment and should be available in mid-April.

Rio is crate trained and was learning to use a dog door before his heartworm treatment. We have no reason to doubt that his exceptional manners will continue and he will housetrain easily. He likes other dogs and has never met a stranger!
