Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rose is a young adult (approx 1-5 yr old) around 15 lbs. She is a rescue from Korea.
Likely due to an unstable start in life, Rose is quite sensitive. She needs time to get used to people before they approach her. She tends to bond strongly to one person, so if a couple etc adopts her they need to have good leadership so Rose is not protective over her “person”. That said, she is not aggressive, and hasn’t bit. She gives lots of warning when uncomfortable, and just needs her space respected. Because of this, no homes with children under 16 yrs old.
She is currently in a foster home where she is bonded to the adult female. However, the adults parents also live in the home. For the most part, she is fine with them, however, when the mom told her to move from a spot she wasn't allowed in she growled. Then Rose was upset, and later growled at the mom and dad until the next morning.
This sensitivity can be quite common to Eskies, so an experienced home is important.
Her crate her feel safe and she likes to sleep in it. She is used to eating twice a day and will sit and stay while the food bowl goes down and she waits for the okay to go eat.
Rose has gotten on well with other dogs in the home, but doesn’t NEED to have dog friends. When introduced correctly she can be happy and tolerate them, but she has shown some food/resource guarding. On walks she is not interested in interacting with other dogs and will try to avoid them.
She is house-trained and non destructive when left alone.
She's low-medium energy, and does enjoy playing and going for walks.
Rose will be someone’s best friend, and will be an amazing and perfect dog to them. Her forever home just needs to ensure they have the right environment for her and other interactions.
