Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This little guy is 8 lbs 6 oz, of ALPHA dog! He has our two full grown Labs "on the run". We were contacted by a friend that there was a Chihuahua running up and down their road way out in the country and every time a pick up truck came by he started chasing it. He would not let anyone get close to him and would run back into the woods if anyone got close to him. So they figured someone who owned a pick up truck had dumped him out in the woods. There were coyotes in the area and dogs running loose, so they knew if a truck did not hit him, something wild would kill him. They started leaving food out for him because he was obviously loosing weight. They finally caught him while putting out food one night and he was so hungry he could not wait until they left to start eating. So we received the call at 10:30 that night and met this great family to pick him up. He was so scared that he urinated all over the girl who was getting him out of the crate. But then began his "NEW LIFE". The first night he stayed in his crate, but since then he has slept with my daughter, or been in someone's lap. He dearly loves to play out in the dog yard (1/2 acre) and runs with the Labs and two other rescues. He is very kissy and you have to be careful not to put your head down or he will kiss you right on your mouth! He is a busy boy going to different members of the household to receive the attention he feels he deserves. He now loves to go for walks, and ride in the car. He is still a little shy around strangers, and afraid of loud noises or screaming children. He is up to date on shots, and will be neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. The best home for him would be someone who is retired or is home all day, with plenty of time to spend with him. His date of birth is approximately March 17, 2008, thus the name Patrick. We got him on St. Patrick's Day 2009, and the vet said he was 12 months old. He is cute all over but the way he puts his ears up, down, and back up is a hoot! Do you have the time to spend with this cutie? He will add LOVE to your life. Remember Chihuahuas live long lives so make sure you want to make a life-long commitment for this boy.
