Chance is an American Bulldog mix that came to the city shelter as a stray. He wasn't an easy catch either. He had been seen by several concerned citizens and all were trying to woo him over with food. With a little time and patience we were finally able to gain his trust. He was covered in more ticks than I have ever seen in my years of rescue work. Once at shelter he was given all his vaccinations and neutered, that's when we discovered he has ehrlichiosis which is a very treatable and curable tick born illness. He is currently on his second month of a 3 month cycle of antibiotics and is doing extremely well. He has gained around 15 pounds and is looking and feeling wonderful. He is a young dog and needs and active family. He is currently in a foster home and is doing wonderful. He is potty trained and does well with kids and other dogs. He will make a wonderful family pet and is looking for his forever family.
