Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ham. This little girl was surrendered to us when our vet in Houston reached out to us. She was heart worm positive and the previous owner couldn't afford the treatment. Ham has now gone through the treatment and is ready to find her forever home!
Ham is a very sweet girl who is a little timid at first. She warms up quickly though! She enjoys car rides and hanging out on the couch.
She has integrated with all of the foster dogs and is just such a peach! She's not very fond of cats though. She'll bark at them and chase them a bit, but even that is getting better. Ham would fit in really well with a family that already has a small dog. But she'd likely do just fine on her own, too.
Ham will sleep on her dog bed at night, but has no problem or anxiety staying in her kennel either.
She has not had one accident in the house and goes out with the other dogs in her foster home. She doesn't like big staircases (going outside particularly). She will come every single time she's called. She loves to snuggle and get belly rubs.
**Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered.
Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states.
Adoption fee is $350.
