My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi Everyone, my name is Smoky with a “y” at the end 🤪 Today is a very exciting day for me, my foster family said that I’m officially able to be adopted and find my furever home.

You are probably wondering how I ended up in the care of OSCAR. My human dad passed away and my mom wasn’t able to care for me any longer and that’s when my foster family stepped in with the help of OSCAR.

Now for the good stuff, I’m an 11 year old Purebred Short Haired German Pointer with papers and everything to show my bloodline (They even know who my great great great grandparents were, how crazy is that), I was kept as an outside dog in a large kennel so my inside manners aren’t really established, I get along very well with my fur sibling (my current family has three dogs of their own and two cats), I also really love kids and people in general, I have a lot of energy and so playing fetch is one of my favorite past times and bonding with my humans (they are the best).

I’d do best in a home that has a large yard for me to play in, that has other dogs and/or kids for me to play with, a family who understands that my inside manners aren’t well refined but I do awesome in a kennel as I sleep in a large crate inside at night and I’m kenneled when my family is at work. I’m honestly just looking for an amazing family whom I can call my own and may live out my retirement years with. Filled with lots of love, kisses, hugs, and tennis balls❤️
