WARNING: Pit Bulls are Known to Steal Warm Spots on the Couch and Spread Joy and Happiness!

Pit Bulls / Pit Mixes are for Smart People. Why? Because Pit Bulls have been historically maligned. And unfairly. When you hear about a horror story about a Pit Bull (and you will, because the media loves hyping them up), 99% of the time it is the fault of a neglectful owner or a stupid human (yes, we said it - stupid people). Pure and simple.

Pit Bulls are not lap dogs, although they may think they are. They are intelligent, super-loyal, very loving, and have high amounts of energy. And you'd be hard-pressed to find another breed with more raw athletic ability.

However, they can be stubborn and thick-headed, and so they require the attention of an owner who is smart and patient. But the rewards are well worth the effort, as many can attest.

Enter Maybelle. This sweet Pit Mix was used for pumping out puppies and when they tired of her - tossed her out to fend for herself.

Enter Friends of Eden Animal Rescue. We stepped in and pulled this sweet ball of energy 425 days ago from the Stokes County Animal Shelter. She is so deserving of a smart, loving family. One that will provide her with the love, attention, training and activity she needs. She is up to date on her shots, healthy, spayed (no more puppies for Mae Mae) and ready for forever.
