Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We are taking NO new inquires for LOKI at this time.
Please meet LOKI. Loki is a beautiful 2 year old sheltie boy and he weighs around 48 pounds. He has a beautiful Irish red coat and is up to date on all of vetting, testing, neutered and micro-chipped. Loki is blind, most likely from birth, but it is not a disability for him as he learns his yard and home rather quickly.
He is house trained in his foster home but may initially have some accidents as he learns and adjusts to his new home. He is crate trained and likes to sleep in his crate.
Loki has good hearing and is learning his voice commands in his foster home. This helps him navigate up and down steps, which he is learning to do, and will need to continue his training. It may take him a little time to settle in and learn his new people and new environment but with a little patience from his new home, as he adjusts, he will be a wonderful sheltie boy and a good companion. He will need a home with an established routine that he can trust every day and not a home with a lot of activity and changes.
Loki is in a foster home that has multiple dogs and although Loki does fine with other dogs, he would be best in a home as an only dog or just one other pup in the house. He is fine with cats. Loki would also need a home with no young children or toddles. He does like his attention and would make a wonderful companion. He is a quiet dog as shelties go, and he rarely barks. A home with sheltie experience is also a plus. Loki is being fostered in the Scranton, PA area.
Loki with need a secure fenced in yard for his forever home. NO EXCEPTIONS. Inquiries can also be directed to: mikelamontshelties@gmail.com
